Missionary Work:
Warm Feet for the Street
This is a great project to help those less fortunate - homeless, transient adults and teens in Winnipeg. Alot have no where or no one else to turn to for support and love.
Buy a pair of woolen socks. Roll one up and stuff it into the toe of the other sock. Put in items such as a comb, shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste, Band-Aids, Kleenex, hand lotion, lip balm, deodorant, soap, washcloth with a few hard candies or gum, a Christian tract from the Canadian Bible Society. Tie with a Christmas ribbon and see the smiles on many as this may be their only Christmas gift. Travel size only for articles such as shampoo and lotion and a zip lock bag is great for them to put the toiletries in after.
Drop off your gifts of love to Siloam Mission and mark the box - to Marilyn for Christmas handout. We are at 300 Princess Street, Winnipeg south of Higgins. If you need more info please call me at 668-5590
With a grateful heart - His servant, Marilyn

I'm home.....or am I? They say home is where the heart is. This is a difficult concept as I was once again right at home on the field. The people were warm and friendly and so receptive to our presence. So eager to grasp our hands in appreciation and the odd warm hug as well. It appears to be so true.....the smallest of gifts bring the greatest smile of thankfullness when given with deep humble affection and love. Praise be to God for shining that Light through us. I witnessed their anewed sight of this love.
A very warm heartfelt thank you from this man - one of many.
To all who supported me personally with financial help,
eyeglasses and prayers.....let me say Thank you!
It truly takes each and everyone of us to make such an
outreach so successful. Eyeglasses are still in desperate
need and being collected at Peace Lutheran Church,
350 Gilmore, Winnipeg for the next project.
May God continue to work in each and everyone of us
as we give sight to the blind (in more ways than one).
Marilyn
