The Peace Family

Please continue to pray for our loved ones:

We have been praying for a lot of people on a regular basis. I am hoping that as you listen to the list read off, or read it in a weekly bulletin or monthly newsletter that you will take the time to pray for these loved ones.

We believe that God hears our prayers. We believe that God wants us to pray. We believe that God is a God who heals. We believe that God is a God who knows and wants what is best for our well-being. Here are a few recent updates to our prayer list:

Bea Donaghy (Myrt Meichel’s daughter) died Wednesday morning at Concordia Hospital. We pray for Bea’s entire family, for their comfort and strength in this difficult time. Bea is now in heaven with the rest of those who died in the faith, including her husband Dave who died in 2010. Marlene Omichinski received some good news that her cancer treatments have been successful at shrinking the tumour and keeping the cells from spreading. Helen Hermann developed a terrible infection with her pacemaker. Helen and her daughter flew to London, ON to have the infection removed. They will be back this week and hopefully Helen will be able to recover and get stronger. Dale and Marlene Mohr are new grandparents to a baby girl named Jordyn. Jordyn developed some complications with her young lungs before birth. She seems to be overcoming. We pray for her health. Allie (Shirley McLean’s daughter in-law) is in her fifth round (of 20) of chemo. As with most people it is a difficult time. Still lots to be done and we would appreciate your continued prayers. Shirley Dandeneau (Diane Mauthe’s sister in-law) tumor showed almost nothing in her last test, (in fact they think it may only be scar tissue) but will check her every 3 months. She is done her chemo and is feeling good. Her memory is way better and she is now grieving my brother’s death, but her ability to live by herself is still not there. It is still not a normal thing for her to do the day to day things or remember exactly what needs to be done or bought, etc. She still needs someone to be with her and her family has been taking turns being with her which has been a blessing. Thank you so much for all the prayers and it is a blessing that my nephews and niece did not have to deal with yet another loss in their family so soon. They still have their mother to be with here on earth! Doug Pokrant’s brother is stable for now. Katherine Hoffman (Karen Pokrant’s cousin) is waiting for a stem cell transplant and struggles to be well enough for that to happen. Doug Pokrant’s mom Marlene is waiting for pathology reports Nov.22. Mending from her surgery. Thanks for keeping our worries in your prayers. We have been praying for Trevor (a friend of Teresa Dotlaw’s) who had a heart transplant. He is home and doing great! Viv's son (friend of Marge Wayne) who is a long term off/on drug abuser. He is unfortunately still using, but Viv is handling it with more strength. It is very encouraging to see that in her as it has been going on a long time. Gloria Wells is now home recouping after a heart attack. Linda Kapitany is scheduled for an MRI Jan 24th. Eddy Demarski's body is presently rejecting his new medication. BUT he hopes to go hunting this weekend!! Joey’s Aunty Cherie-lyne has been done her treatments for a while now. She is doing a lot better than she was but is still dealing with the after effects of the treatments and cancer – pain, tiredness, etc. She is now looking at getting back into the workplace but in a different way than before. She was a nurse but that job would be too taxing on her so now she is working on becoming a travel agent. This will allow her to work from home and rest when she needs to.
