August 29, 2010
The Fourteenth Sunday of Pentecost
Pastor Brad:  799-3671 / Pastor Ward:  998-1993

WELCOME to all!  The Bible says: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you”.  (James 4: 8) May all barriers between God and ourselves be removed.  Let us open our spirits to the Spirit of God and discover the power and peace of God surging within us.  Blessings on all!

LIFE THOUGHT FOR THE DAY   Hebrews 13:1-17:  Verse 16 contains a great stewardship thought:  “Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”  Maturing stewards seek to do those things that honor God and help our fellow man.  Whether we are giving money, time and volunteer help we offer it as a sacrifice pleasing to God.

There will be a Youth Planning Meeting tonight at Brian Layer’s 162 Essar Avenue at 7:00 P.M.  Anyone interested, hope to see you there.

The Volunteer Schedules have been made till almost Christmas Time and are available on the internet calendar and all those people scheduled will receive a list with your dates highlighted in your mailboxes. There will also be a list posted on the bulletin board monthly for you to check.  Thank you to everyone for your help.
An updated list has been compiled of members to add to your picture directories.  They are available on the table at the back of the church.

Thank you to Terry Smith for cutting our grass this past week.

We are in the process of tidying up our Library and we have some books that will be available for anyone who wants them.  They are on the table in the entrance.  Please help yourself.
